Ewals denies the allegations made in Ballard's request for a restraining order, Halberg said, and the mayor has filed a request for a court hearing. This whole crematory debate is ridiculous, why can't people let decisions be? Must want to create more drama and bad press on this town. I would personally like to enjoy coming back to my hometown, not wonder what additional drama surrounding this issue has decided to arise. This makes me sick. 15 people shouldn't be able to control this town and dictate what businesses can and cannot operate! Nothing happened? So no one did anything at all? Of course not, Ewals is at the funeral home at 1:00 AM and nothing happened? Of course not. No reason to be concerned. Were just out here in a group and we are protesting at 1:00 in the morning. Nothing to see here. Really most people know when to go home and be in bed. But it never stops anyone from proving once again. They have no common sense. Get real. Jabroni, you have lived here all of your life and all of your life that has been a funeral home. When you think of it, it is not any different than any Gas Station and how it does business. When they changed the Gas from leaded to unleaded the zoning requirements did not change but the demand did and when they started changing to Cornhol, zoning requirements did not need to change, and as convenient stores they carry products that have lead or toxic chemicals in them and they don’t need to be rezoned, so what is the big deal? All politics and not any concern for the residents well being. I realize that comparing the two doesn’t actually bare any water, but in the real world there will always be some give and take. Now we have more consumer demand for cremations due to space and economic reasons and a few people want to demand that a business that has been here long before them stop operations and move.
