Ze Cherman here. I have decided to retire (“for good”) for  multiple reasons, so let me list them for you:

I can no longer contribute to RPF. RPF, as a healthy collective, are dynamic and have changed a lot. I thought I could adapt to the change, but when I needed the present generation to adapt a little, too, they did not. RPF’s mentality are completely different from my generation and it seems I cannot let go of the ideals of the past. My past achievements are worthless. Yes, as hard as it is to believe, they are in the eyes of the present RPF. If you take a look at Coff’s post, a certain person has really kicked me in the rear with a reply to my first comment. I find it alarming that persons with my history and dedication are eligible for janitor. Then again, is that not what the average American gets before retiring from 45+ years of service? I did contribute, not in this leadership itself, but in between the two. You people disgust me; you forget that I took a big risk by declaring myself leader (I usually reject the idea, but this was an emergency) and negotiating when I had no official mandate to. More on that below… The Tundra Union. Honestly, people, the Tundra Union (TU) was one of my great achievements in my first and main leadership. You just threw it out. When I enquired as to what the status of the TU was, people told me that it had deceased. Now I find out that it hung on to survival for those two months. Ever since the TU had been made a “leaders only” club, I had no influence over it anymore. You go ahead and start your new union. I am just angererd (inside joke, Fiasco) that I had no mandate to assist it when I could have, being active and all. The Role of the Veteran/Legend. This last point will probably seem a little counter-intuitive, but here it is anyway: Why are we not even “remembering” the greatest veterans (legends) by giving them some higher xat rank? Will you let my xat rank be? I doubt it. An order has been recently issued to make all veterans members. I guess it makes sense if I am to leave forever. In that case, I will use a new xat ID altogether.

Elaboration of point 2: Five weeks ago, RPF fought a huge threat, an internal one. The majority of RPF had defected to ARC, led by Paco and ATM23. Their agenda was to make their demands of a new election heard by interfering with RPF’s events. ARC was a magnet; they persuaded many RPF soldiers to join and some even gave up their RPF loyalties. With the first comment election having failed, RPF were leaderless. Furbur27 had attempted a four-leader system, but he later discarded it. I declared myself leader and negotiated – a lot. Most importantly, I ensured ARC members that they would not suffer any xat punishments (kick, ban, guest). Paco, ATM23 and I (along with Jcool and Klimster) negotiated a settlement. The same day, a CPAC Legends Cup battle was scheduled. Fortunately, we finished the first and main part of the negotiations before the battle. RPF and ARC fought for a united cause against the Nachos. We lost, but at least RPF were re-united. The same day, I forced a new election to be held and enforced its accuracy with Omega39 as Chief Elections Officer. I kept my leadership powers until the elections ended.
