Or it did. The Dutch government's top legal adviser ruled last week that the famous signs must come down.

Amsterdam posted the signs in 2007 and established official no-pot zones in an attempt to discourage teens from using weed.

But the government says the city can't establish zones because pot already is illegal -- theoretically. Practically speaking, possession of small amounts is allowed, and pot is openly sold in some shops.

The signs were stolen so often that the city began selling them as collector's items. Buy one for about $128.

A survey of 1,200 men by Clorox found that nearly 50% of them have no problem wearing clothes -- including underwear-- many times before washing them.

Nearly 50% said they rely on a "sniff test" to determine whether clothes need a wash.

Blue jeans average five wearings between washings. Underwear is worn twice, although 12% of the men said they often manage a third use.

The reason, Clorox said: Men don't like doing laundry.

Scientists said last week that mosquitoes love the smell of stinky socks and feet. Now they hope to use that odor to attract malaria-bearing mosquitoes to traps, where they can be poisoned.

In three villages in Senegal where people are taking the drug, researchers said the number of malaria-carrying mosquitoes fell by 80% in just two weeks.

Researchers said ivermectin paralyzes mosquitoes who feed from a person taking it. Now they're seeking funding for further studies.
